Definition

Lip fillers are injections that increase the volume of the lips and redefine their contour in a completely natural way. Sometimes intervening just a little to flesh out the shape and improve the tone, is enough to obtain perfect lips.

Lip fillers

Hyaluronic acid is used in aesthetic medicine to increase lip volume without resorting to surgery.
There are various techniques, which are often reworked, renamed and adapted by the professionals themselves, based on their personal experiences.
Among the most popular methods to redefine the contour of the mouth and increase lip volume with hyaluronic acid fillers, we find:

  • Russian Lips method: a natural mouth, fleshy but never protruding, with a well-marked Cupid’s bow
  • iLips, a technique where the foremost aim is achieving the most natural result
  • Microbump” technique, one of the most frequently used methods
  • Classic vertical/linear method, which makes use of multiple linear injections to create thin and superficial product “tunnels”
  • Raise angles” technique, which raises the outer corners to form the hint of a smile.

Image Regenerative Clinic’s philosophy regarding this aesthetic medical treatment is, as always, centered on the use of absorbable fillers (such as hyaluronic acid) and/or autologous tissue infiltrations (Lipogems®), with great attention to the naturalness of the result, which must always respect and improve the harmony of the face.

F.A.Q.

What not to do after lip filling?

It is recommended to avoid exposure to the sun, and heat sources, including Turkish baths and saunas.

The answer is very subjective. In general, the patient doesn’t have swelling, but this cannot be entirely ruled out. Of course, any swelling will disappear in a few days, and can be hidden by makeup.

The duration of the first lip filler depends both on the density of the hyaluronic acid, and on subjective factors. All absorbable fillers are progressively metabolized in 2 to 10 months or more. After the first procedure, the filler tends to reabsorb more slowly.
