Reduction mammoplasty

An excessively large breast can lead to a series of physical problems due to its weight and displacement of the center of gravity. Not to mention the aesthetic discomfort, which in many cases becomes a substantial burden on a psychological level.
Reduction mammoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure, the goal of which is to achieve a breast size that is proportionate and in harmony with the patient’s body: the reduction of the breast’s volume is designed together with both the simultaneous remodeling of the breast (removal of the excess fat and skin) and repositioning of the nipple.
«For very large breasts, or those patients who require rapid intervention for health reasons, a fast and non-invasive technique that involves the elimination of the excess and the grafting of the nipple-areola complex (Thorek technique) may be appropriate. In the most serious cases – requiring removal of more than a kilogram of fat etc, or for orthopaedic reasons – the operation can be performed with the local health service.»

Reduction mammoplasty solves the problems associated with excessively large breasts: breasts that are disproportionate to the body, pendulous and heavyset with the areolas pointing downwards, back pain due to their weight and the shifted center of gravity. Reduction mammoplasty is also suggested for patients at risk of cancer, to radically reduce the amount of adipose tissue exposed to the disease’s menace.
The surgery can be performed on people over 18 years of age.
Local anaesthesia with sedation.
Liposound (Cavitation)
The patient will stay in the clinic for 4 to 8 hours. The surgery itself lasts between 90 and 120 minutes.
The next day and one week after surgery.
2 days.
